What we collect
Hosts sign in with an email address. Players provide a display name, optional team name, and hunt submissions such as text answers, photos, or browser-reported GPS coordinates.
How we use it
We use this data to run scavenger hunts, show leaderboards, review submissions, prevent abuse, debug errors, and understand whether the product is working for real users.
Services we use
EventQuestor uses Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; Resend for email delivery through Supabase Auth SMTP; AI providers such as OpenRouter, Anthropic, and OpenAI for hunt generation and moderation; Google Places for location search; Sentry for error monitoring; PostHog and Vercel Analytics for product analytics; and Cloudflare Turnstile for login abuse prevention.
Photos and location
Photo submissions are uploaded to Supabase Storage and are not shown to other players unless a host approves them. GPS missions use browser-reported coordinates; players should only submit locations they are comfortable sharing with the hunt host.
